The Coral: Invisible Invasion
Rating: The Coral have always sounded like they’d be quite at home in England in the 1960s, and The Invisible Invasion is no exception. The album is, as expected, full of Kinks-influenced psych-pop-rock. There is noticeably less experimentation than in the past, and the arrangements are more straightforward. That would have been a bad thing if the songs weren’t able to support the album, but The Coral have written a great set, and it holds up well in these conditions. Great songs combined with good production make this the best Coral album to date.
