Descended Like Vultures is Rogue Wave’s second full-length, both of which have come on Sub Pop Records, generally a good sign. DLV is no exception to that, as it’s nothing less than enjoyable on every track, and more than that on others. The sound is similar to that of other pop-oriented indie rock bands, the most obvious of which is Death Cab. But Rogue Wave isn’t aping anyone, either. Each track is a little different, but at the same time the album has a pleasant cohesion about it. Those who take pleasure in indie pop/rock should definitely dig Descended Like Vultures, and look forward to more from Rogue Wave.
