Hailing from the cultural void of Fort Scott, Kansas, I was raised on classic rock, country, and radio pop. In high school I drifted away from my musical roots in favor of modern rock, from alternative to heavy metal to punk. As I’ve matured my tastes have come full circle, and I once again embrace classic rock and country (not so much the pop music). In college my taste in music has mellowed out considerably as I’ve been exposed to much more “indie” music, mostly from Katie’s music library. And now for some personal tastes:

  • What I’m listening to right now: The Tractors - “The Tractors”
  • Most under appreciated band: The Screaming Blue Messiahs
  • Flawless Albums:
    • Spoon - “Kill the Moonlight”
    • Green Day - “Insomniac”
    • Radiohead - “The Bends”
    • The Doors - “LA Woman”
    • Fastball - “All The Pain Money Can Buy”
    • Incubus - “Make Yourself”
    • Jimmy Eat World - “Bleed American”
    • Steely Dan - “Can’t Buy A Thrill”
    • Cake - “Fashon Nugget”
    • The Strokes - “Is This It [UK]”
  • Buy their “Greatest Hits” - ZZ Top, Huey Lewis and the News, Led Zeppelin, Reverend Horton Heat, Billy Joel
